From install to your first accurate profit number — here's the whole flow.
One click from the app listing. The app only requests read access to orders, products, and inventory (plus write access to a single optional shipping-cost field) — nothing on your storefront, checkout, or theme is touched.
In Settings, set the percentage your payment provider charges per transaction (Shopify Payments is usually around 2.9%). This is subtracted from every order's revenue automatically.
Any product or variant missing a cost is flagged on the Settings page with a direct link to Shopify's bulk editor, so Cost of Goods Sold is accurate from day one. Orders that still have missing costs are marked in the Orders table until you fill them in.
Shopify only exposes what the customer paid for shipping, not what the label actually cost you. If you want shipping factored into profit precisely, fill in the "Actual Shipping Cost" field the app adds to each order — otherwise it's shown as untracked rather than guessed.
Open the Ad Spend tab and either enter a bulk total spread evenly across a date range, or add exact daily amounts. Days with no entry are flagged so profit is never silently overstated.
Net Profit, Margin, Average Order Value, Refund Rate, COGS, Cost per Order, Avg Orders/Day, and Customer Acquisition Cost update live for any period you pick. The Profit Waterfall shows exactly where revenue goes — COGS, fees, shipping, refunds, ad spend — down to Net Profit, and the Trend chart highlights your best and worst days.
